Wang Qingyuan received her BA from the School of Fine Arts, Nanjing University of the Arts, in 2017 and her MA from the China National Academy of Arts in 2022. Working with silk and thread, her practice explores resilience and fluidity. In her work, hair and nature emerge as both symbols of human existence and material extensions of the body, interwoven to create visual experiences that evoke subtle states of mind.
Wang’s recent solo exhibitions include Appendix II, Sense Gallery, Beijing (2023); The Shape of Time, Fanji Living Room, Shanghai (2023); Shell, Taogu Park, Nanjing (2022); and Appendix, Sense Gallery, Beijing (2020).
