ABOUT M+M

M+M GALLERY

Rooted in the transcontinental life experiences and aesthetic sensibilities of its two founders across Europe, America, and Asia, M+M Gallery is based in Hong Kong’s Central district. It serves as a cultural bridge between the West and Greater China, cultivating a globalized vision of art. Through its focus on domestic spaces, publishing, and education, the gallery invites audiences to reimagine the role of art in contemporary life.

EXHIBITION PROGRAM

M+M Gallery’s exhibition program is dedicated to introducing emerging Western contemporary artists, capturing the synchronicity of global art practices while infusing fresh vitality into Asia’s evolving art landscape. The gallery seeks to uncover overlooked artistic luminaries within Asian contexts, fostering cross-cultural and intergenerational dialogues. By exploring artists’ unique creative practices through multifaceted perspectives, the program contextualizes postwar and contemporary art histories, enriching the diversity and depth of global postwar and contemporary narratives within Asia’s gallery ecosystem.

CASA INITIATIVE

The M+M CASA initiative curates timeless domestic aesthetics through meticulously selected private collections. Guided by innovative curatorial concepts, CASA reimagines the possibilities of integrating art into living spaces, offering audiences an immersive coexistence with art. This initiative creates a distinctive fusion of artistic spirit and everyday warmth, transforming domestic environments into dynamic extensions of artistic expression.

PUBLISHING & EDUCATION

M+M Gallery’s publishing and education initiatives document the evolving trajectories of artists and the gallery itself, mapping the emergence and growth of postwar and contemporary art in Asia while advancing art education and aesthetic literacy in Hong Kong. Publications include artist monographs, critical essays, catalogs highlighting significant private collections, and exhibition archives—each designed to deepen public understanding and appreciation of postwar and contemporary art. Through these efforts, the gallery champions intellectual engagement and fosters a broader dialogue around art’s transformative potential.
